Terms relating to the sale of products

By placing an order you are offering to buy a product on, and subject to, the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.

To contract with DesertBoots.com you must be over 18 years of age and use a valid payment method accepted by us. DesertBoots.com may refuse any request made by you.

If your order is accepted we will tell you by email. When you place an order you confirm that all the details you give us are true and accurate, that you are authorised to use the payment method you have chosen, and that there are enough funds to cover the cost of the goods.

Your contract with DesertBoots.com

When you place an order you will receive an acknowledgement email confirming we have received it. This email is only an acknowledgement and does not mean we have accepted your order. A contract between us is formed only when we send you an email confirming that the goods you ordered have been dispatched. Only the goods listed in that dispatch confirmation email are included in the contract.

Pricing

We try to make sure all details, descriptions and prices on this Website are accurate, but errors may occur. If we find an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will tell you as soon as possible and give you the option to reconfirm your order at the correct price or cancel it. If we cannot contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and have already paid, you will receive a full refund.

All prices on the Website include United Kingdom VAT (where applicable) and exclude postage and packing, unless free delivery is shown for your order. Details of postage and packing charges are on our delivery information page.

Discount codes cannot be used with any other offer. This includes student discount and key worker discount.

Returns and your right to cancel

Our returns and exchanges arrangements are set out in our Refund policy. These do not affect your statutory right to cancel a distance purchase under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

If the original box or bag of a returned item is damaged or missing when it is returned to us, a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund. This does not apply if the box or bag was already damaged when you received it, or to the mailing bag.

For hygiene reasons, socks and insoles cannot be refunded or exchanged once their packaging seal has been broken or removed.

Items returned to sender

If an item is returned to us undelivered, a £5 charge applies. Depending on the reason for the return, we may be able to take a £5 payment from you and resend the item, or we will refund your order less the £5 charge once the item is back with us. We will not apply the £5 charge where the item was returned because of a carrier error.

This applies if you deliberately fail to take delivery (other than because of circumstances outside your control), and also if you fail to take delivery because you have cancelled your contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. In the second case we will refund you within 14 days, less the £5 charge.

Duties and clearance charges

Orders delivered outside the United Kingdom may be subject to duty, VAT and clearance or brokerage charges, depending on the destination country. DesertBoots.com has no control over these charges. All items are sent delivery duty unpaid (DDU or DAP). You are responsible for making sure any costs of receiving the goods are paid in full to our delivery partner, before or after delivery.

If goods are returned to us because duty, VAT or clearance charges were not paid, or if those charges are billed to us as the shipper, we will pass these costs on to you and deduct them from any refund you are owed. Outbound shipping costs are strictly non refundable.
